02/23/10 URRGGG!!

So sorry I haven't written in a while. A lot has been happening and we have been super busy.

Brian left for NTC on thursday (NTC is like training for when they go to Iraq or Afghanistan). He was super excited to go. The last time I have heard from him was when the plane landed. He said, "I just landed but can't talk love you bye." So, haven't talked to him for a few day, but we have AT&T and that service doesn't recieve very good signal. All of my friends' husbands that went with Brian are all getting calls and its like they almost want to rub it in. I know they aren't trying to but it just sucks. Not the end of the world though because I know he has been thinking about us non-stop.

Madison. Wow that is a name for a little girl that likes to be naked. She has been taking off her clothes and diaper for the last three weeks. I don't understand why she likes to be naked so much. At nap time and bed time we have to tape her diaper on with the kind of tape the has like strings in it that way if she starts to pull at the tape it will kind of shred. Anywho, I got this idea to try and potty train her since she will not keep her diaper on. Let's just say it ended in a mess! I just don't think she is quite old enough. However, we did try with another little girl that is just over two. The other little girl (Laney) did great with potty training. I hope Madison will start to get the hang of it but I think we will stick to tapeing diapers for now until she is about two.

We have met a few women here and they are ALL very nice. We watch movies and go to the PX and grocrey shopping together. It is just very laid back and everyone likes the company because all of our husbands are either at NTC or already overseas. But we have a good time and the two little girls enjoy having someone else to play with.

So the house has pictures up everywhere but my room. I think it looks nice. Also, I got the house almost completely baby proof which has been very nice with brian being away. But that is all that is new with the house.

Well it is starting to get late here (well not late bust I need to get into the shower and get Madison lunch). But hopefully I will stay more on top of this blog and not wait 11 day for an entry.

02/12/10 Beach recap!

So we went to the beach yesterday. It was definitely raining so it was cold! But it was still beautiful... the water was soooo blue and clean looking! The sand on the beach we were on was like sesame seeds. It was a smaller beach but there was no one else there. It was all around just beautiful.

Madison didn't really like the sand. She liked holding onto my hand for once! So maybe i will take her to the beach more often :) It was just a great time and she was a really good girl.

Yesterday morning I went over and picked up the car. There was damage to the inside and the brakes or rotors or something like that were also messed up. But we are getting them all taken care of so we can drive the car and not worry about it. Now we just have to change our insurance which means we are going to be paying double than what we were back home. Oh well, we live in Hawaii!! So, of course we are going to have to pay for it.

Well I need to go make breakfast...

02/11/10 A day at the beach!

So I haven't been blogging to much because I haven't had the computer. Brian has been bringing it to work because he needed to show his staff Sargent something on it. But, now that-that is out of the way I am up and running again!

So yesterday Madison decided to take off her diaper at nap time!! She went tinkle all over the place, and then didn't want to take a nap. So, she got a bath, a snack and clean sheets of course and went back down for a nap. Whooo more laundry for me to do!! Oh well at least they were sheets that my baby wet instead of some grown adult that wets the bed. (Me trying to look on the bright side :) )

Last night we went over to some friends house. Her husband is deployed so it is just her and their two year old. Madison really likes playing with their little girl! Except Madison has started hitting a lot and so she hits Laney and has to sit in time out sometimes. For some reason these two little girls want what the other has. Madison had a purple boring sippy cup and Laney had a green cup with a straw. The girls kept taking the others so finally we gave up and just let them have what they wanted. They are going to get germs from playing together so whatever I guess.

Today all of the men in the Battery get off early so they can go to the beach with their families. I am pretty excited because this means I AM GOING TO THE BEACH! I am so excited and can't wait!!!! That is why I am up so early Hawaiian time. We have to be at North Shore by noon and we have to bring something. BBQ time!! I just hope the water isn't too cold and that the waves don't hit too hard. Madison has never been on the beach so this will be her first time.

Oh yeah, I found out great news while I was on the computer this morning! OUR CAR IS HERE!! That means we don't have to bum rides from anyone anymore. I always feel bad! But, now we just have to bum two more rides, to the bbq (it is mandatory and there won't be enough time to get the car before), and to Honolulu to pick the vehicle up.

Alright well I gotta go get in the shower since I have to be ready by 11:30! I will post tomorrow on how everything is.

02/06/10

So Brian has to do these classes online because his Staff Sargent told him to. Took all morning then his Sargent called him and said that he should come over to discuss something else that he doesn't know much about(he lost me when he tried to explain it to me). So now Brian is at his Sargent's house, Madison is sleeping and I am trying to hang pictures without any nails or screws. If you were wondering... it's not working out!!!

We are going to take Madison to the park across from the small field we call a backyard. She will probably love it and not want to leave. Hopefully we don't get sun-burnt! Well I probably will, but whats new? After we take her to the park we are going to walk over to the PX (post exchange, it's like a mini Wal-Mart on post). It is about a mile or a little more from the house. Hopefully less!!

The weather is great here!! Nice and sunny, and no need for the air conditioner on or the heat. It is just all around beautiful!!

Okay well running out of things to talk about and I need to write my Granny a letter so I guess audios!

So today is kind of boring. We haven't really done much! Sat around on Facebook and what not. We can't wait for the car to get here!!!!! Once we have the car we will be able to do a ton more! Although the weather is beautiful and warm enough to have the windows and doors open.

Madison is doing great. She is kind of crabby though. She has been throwing a lot of temper tantrums (I don't think I spelled that right). If Brian or I tell her no then she goes off crying and throws what ever she has in her hand. She loves to go outside! So much that when it is time to come back in she has a tantrum. Oh well, she is hitting terrible twos early so maybe she will get out of them early!! Wishful thinking I believe...

Overall, I LOVE Hawaii! I am so glad we are not back at home with the snow!! Well I guess I will write more later or something :)
